"Kenda's Wish PJ Poker Run"!

“Kenda’s Wish” charity project was started in memory of Kenda Marie Eckles. Kenda was born Sept. 14, 1981 with Cardiomyopathy and WPW Syndrome. Kenda was undergoing testing to be placed on the transplant list and passed on July 31, 2001, the same day as her last scheduled test. Kenda and her parents spent many days(weeks) in hospitals over the years and one thing she liked was having her own PJ’s to wear when she was in the hospital. Kenda loved children and her ambition was to become a nurse and work in a children’s unit of a hospital. UNC Children’s Hospital patients are the recipients of Kenda’s Wish. The goal is to give each child a pair of PJ’s (new with tags) and other items to keep them comfortable during their stay in the hospital. The hospital’s Recreational Department also is supplied with games and other items for the children to play with when they are able to go there. Kenda’s family and friends have been spreading a little bit of Kenda’s love since 2007 and would love to continue this act of kindness for years to come in Kenda’s memory.

Seven Sabres Brotherhood is a motorcycle riding club located in Angier, N.C. Our group consists of dedicated motorcycle enthusiasts that share the love of the open road, the roar of a motor, and the fellowship and the bonds that form that friendship.

We embrace the rider - not the make of bike.
